Posts: one,819 TC Black Diamond dilemma... I just obtained an older TC BD .fifty, that was offered to me as non functional. It had been quite corroded, I've scrubbed it out comprehensively with BP bore cleaner and a brush and it now cocks, fires, is clean up, and I can blow air from your muzzle from the plug, and so on. I'm thinking if any homeowners of comparable TC's can put up pictures of the plug and striker procedure, as I'm not aware of inline methods (Formerly only possessing flintlocks and percussion weapons over the past 35 decades). And, I've problem publishing photos of mine, it says the pictures are too big. I'm Uncertain In case the plug is usually a 209 primer or musket cap ignition method.
You can do that and I have noticed them available for sale, on eBay. A different considered is that you could already have the tools to complete the job. I used a seven/16"/hex push socket with extension.
There was a conversion package to allow the Black Diamond to use 209 primers. However I do not know if various product Black Diamonds sooner or later came from your manufacturing unit willing to fire 209's or not. There were unique versions of Black Diamonds.
But in accordance with the "text only" of 1 on the internet operator's manual, it indicated that Black diamond came with the factory which has a #eleven nipple.
Except if I'm missing a thing, you've not said what type of nipple/adaptor you have got I place. If you can see threads in that plug gap, that's not the with the 209 primer. ….
Fairly basic. Once i got rid of my BD, I'd spare nipples adaptors and also a fresh plug. I don't "think" I've anything remaining other than excellent memories. I you go on eBay you should obtain these spare sections. If you can bring this 1 again you may take pleasure in it and it has a fie result in. ….
I understand it's as well major for being a number # 11 cap and there's no nipple. The prior proprietor could not remember, but thinks it will take shotgun primers, wasn't absolutely sure, it was his Dad's, who stopped employing it years ago. I have read through another striker program is required for 209 primers, but won't be able to find images of what the striker and plug seem like. My breach deal with is flat with a very small, almost little nail ak6g / needle stage sized striker. Plug includes a spring with four grooves Slash into the perimeters? Can any individual offer you some direction? I'm thinking if still exact, it might make a nice late year deer rifle. Many thanks ahead of time! The backlink that I posted for that barreled motion available appears to present a striker with another experience compared to made use of strikers that happen to be for sale on eBay and Numrich.
Now then, you might have not mentioned it but but that plug will probably provide you with a trouble if the general affliction is while you say it is actually. In terms of configuration, there is a back again cap with "o"-ring, spring, follower, cocking tackle and striker.
The 209 adaptor will thread proper to the plug. The last nipple I made use of was the TC Musket. That is really all of the priming you'll need. Then the BD arrived provided with all three nipples. Apart from they called the 209, an adaptor Quotation:
'Elementary truths' are straightforward to acknowledge because they are verified every day as a result of uncomplicated observation and thus, have to have no testing. Pahoo
The one component I see lacking from my previous clarification, is the follower; .. Superior luck, allow us to know how you mad out and;
I Please read on the TC Web page a special striker is necessary? Getting a slam fireplace variety system, I don't see why this a person wouldn't set off a shotgun primer. Thank you for that pictures!! shurshot
Just one concern was whether or not the Black Diamond underwent a style and design alter in some unspecified time in the future as a lot more rifles started staying made to accept 209's.
Not sure about any of these particulars from images, nor does it genuinely make any difference so long as shurshot can recognize his striker and breech plug.
